• Keep your HVAC filters clean. Although many filters say they last 90 days that might not necessarily be true. Change or clean them at least monthly.
• For people who have acute problems with dust, consider dust mite casings for bedding, and change the bedding once a week.
• Make sure your plumbing fixtures and sink trap aren’t harboring mold sending toxic spores into the air.
• Maintain your HVAC systems well with annual cleanings, and make sure you clean your vents and registers regularly.
• Bathe your pets to cut down on dander (also, pet fur harbors dust mites so another great reasons to keep your pets as clean as possible!).
• Consider installing an air purification system into your HVAC or purchase an air purifier and put it in the room you use most frequently. Better models filter smaller microns, meaning cleaner air and fewer problems with allergies.
